No texting, note-passing during Boulder meetings

BOULDER — The Boulder City Council is banning whispering, note-passing and texting during meetings.

Boulder Mayor Matt Appelbaum says there have been times where it appeared a council member making a motion or an amendment was reading from an email received from an interested party during council debates.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports enforcing the ban could be difficult, but some council members believe it interferes with city business.
