North Avenue store held up third time

A Grand Junction convenience store that had been robbed at gunpoint twice before was targeted early Sunday morning, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

Around 1:30 a.m., a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt entered the Bradley
Sinclair station at 2903 North Ave. and demanded cash and cigarettes. It is unclear what was stolen. No one was injured in the incident, police said.

The suspect was described a white male of medium build,  about 6 feet tall and wearing a white bandanna over his face. He was last seen in the area of North Avenue and 29 Road.

The store had been robbed in December 2007 and December 2008.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Grand Junction Police Department at 242-6707.
