Nothing found in Montrose bomb threat sweep

A bomb threat reportedly directed at an unspecified Montrose school prompted all Montrose schools to go into shelter-in-place for approximately two hours today.

The shelter-in-place status was lifted from each school after law enforcement searched the schools and found nothing to substantiate the threat, according to Montrose and Olathe Schools administrative assistant Deann Balash. Students were dismissed as scheduled.

Balash said the threat was spotted at about 11:30 a.m. Friday in a post on a social media site and was not directed toward any specific school, student or school employee.
