Orem woman dead after running into I-80 traffic

SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities say a 39-year-old Orem woman is dead after trying to cross three lanes of traffic on Interstate 80 in Salt Lake City.

Utah Highway Patrol officials say Darcey Bulloch was killed about 6 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit by several cars.

Troopers say Bulloch was riding in a Chevy Lumina when she got into a physical fight with the driver. Officials say the driver pulled over to the shoulder and Bulloch got out.

Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Mike Loveland tells KTVX-TV Bulloch was drunk and upset, and the driver was pulling over so she wouldn’t try to jump from a moving car.

Loveland estimated six cars were involved in the crash.
