Palisade falls in district final
Palisade High School’s baseball team lost to Windsor 8-3 today in the championship game of the Class 4A District 2 tournament in Evergreen.
After beating Lewis-Palmer 5-3 in the semifinals, the Bulldogs committed an uncharacteristic four errors against Windsor, which advances to the state tournament this week.
Tate Herland allowed eight runs on nine hits and also hit a home run for the Bulldogs, whose season ended 18-3.
Windsor scored six runs in the second inning. In the first game, Caden Woods hit a pair of home runs and drove in four runs for the Bulldogs and Kameron Pfaff threw a complete-game 6-hitter.
