Palisade softball loses coach

Palisade High School softball coach Tony Kirby is stepping down after one year as the head coach.

Kirby works for United Parcel Service, and changes to his work schedule and hours will prevent him from coaching this fall. He was a part of the Bulldogs’ program for four seasons as an assistant before taking over as head coach last season.

Palisade Athletic Director Mike Krueger said the school hopes to have a new coach hired this week.
