Palisade’s Justin Ray earns fifth-place medal

Palisade High School senior Justin Ray capped his prep career with his third medal in four years.

Ray pinned Thompson Valley’s Tanner Williams in 56 seconds for fifth place at 132 pounds in the Class 4A State Wrestling Championships at the Pepsi Center. Williams defeated Ray for the region title last week in Montrose.

Ray took fourth place last year and sixth place as a freshman.
