Cody Pfau of Grand Valley High School won her opening round match in the state wrestling tournament in Denver. Pfau, 29-7 and a 106-pound senior, defeated Ferdinando Martinez of Fort Lupton, 6-5. Both competed in the Class 3A Colorado State Wrestling Championships.
