Police: Woman held after man stabbed in Grand Junction

A man was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds this evening after police were called to a Grand Junction apartment complex.

Police spokeswoman Kate Porras said a woman was detained for questioning. It was reported around 5 p.m. at Innsbruck Apartments, 1158 Bookcliff Ave.

The man’s condition wasn’t confirmed, but Porras said injuries didn’t appear to be life threatening.

A witness at the complex described seeing around four to five stab wounds on the victim, who was lying in a pool of blood on the ground outside the apartment unit which the victim shares with his wife and two children.
