Police probe shooting at Facebook-promoted party

WESTMINSTER — Police in suburban Denver say a man was shot after unwanted guests were asked to leave a party promoted on Facebook.

The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Monday at a home in Westminster. Police say one person who lives in the house posted the invitation on Facebook. They believe it was forwarded numerous times, leading to several unwanted people showing up.

The man who was shot is expected to recover.
