Stay out of store, man told

Three Mesa County Sheriff’s Department deputies told a man Friday evening to stop going into the Walgreens at 572 32 Road.

Deputies Jerry Gray, Peter Schimek and Bobby Pierson responded to a complaint from store owners that a suspicious person continued to enter the store without any reason for being there. The deputies issued the subject a trespassing notice and sent him away.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

A vandal caused more than $1,000 damage to a window in the 300 block of Main Street on Wednesday.

A 21-year-old woman was issued a summons on suspicion of two counts of third-degree assault and one count of harassment Thursday after two people were punched and bitten in the 2800 block of Elm Avenue. Police did not provide the woman’s name.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

Mary Anne Hunsaker, 39, Jackson Hole, Wyo., was arrested Friday on suspicion of harassment/stalking, theft of between $1,000 and $20,000, identity theft, criminal impersonation, financial transaction of between $1,000 and $20,000, criminal impersonation, criminal extortion and harassment/obscene language.

Jose Rosario Quinones-Torres, 42, address unavailable, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia; distribution, manufacture, sale and possession of a controlled substance; introducing contraband; and being a fugitive from another jurisdiction.

A thief stole a digital camera valued at $200 from a car in the 600 block of Entrada Street on Friday.

Tyler Payne, 22, address unavailable, was issued a summons on suspicion he tried to defraud an innkeeper at Powderhorn Ski Resort by not purchasing a $53 lift ticket.

Deputies responded to the 3100 block of North Interstate 70 Frontage Road on a report of a homeowner tampering with a utility meter. The homeowner had removed the meter and installed it upside down. Deputies found no criminal intent and left the man with a warning.
