Powderhorn begins 2011-2012 season pass sales Thursday

Powderhorn Ski Resort marks the first step in its 45th season Thursday with the start of its season pass sales.
Resort spokesperson Sarah Allen said along with new ownership, the resort is offering significant savings on many of its passes as well as some changes in the pass age brackets.
“Last year the adult season pass was $420 and this year it’s $399, which is a pretty good reduction,” Allen said.
Similar savings will be seen on other season passes, Allen said.
The resort also is planning on finishing improvements to the snowmaking system by the time the resort opens, tentatively set for mid-December.
A complete list of season passes is available online at http://www.powderhorn.com/season-passes. Passes may be purchased online or by calling Powderhorn at 268-5700.
