Power outage along G Road nearly restored
A downed power line on G Road between 25 Road and 26 Road cut power to about 200 Grand Valley Rural Power customers this afternoon.
The downed line caused a small fire which firefighters extinguished.
The power line went down at about 2:30 p.m. but most or about 160 of the affected customers along J Road have had their power restored, spokesman Derek Elder said. The remaining customers should have their power restored by about 4 p.m., Elder said.
Elder said four crews were working Sunday afternoon on the outage and were attempting to determine its cause.
