Pre-evacuation orders sent out for Molina residents near fire

A 20-acre fire about one mile southwest of Molina has caused authorities to send out pre-evacuation orders for residents of 548 homes.

The fire is burning on private land and has a high potential for growth, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

All people living or working in Mesa County should sign up to receive emergency alerts on their cell phones, the Department said.

This allows the emergency dispatch center to notify people by cell phone if there is an emergency in their area.
