Rash of Colorado snow slides prompt warning

ASPEN — A large avalanche triggered by skiers outside Marble is prompting the Colorado Avalanche Information Center to urge backcountry travelers to use caution.

The Avalanche Information Center says there was a rash of human-triggered slides statewide on Sunday after 12 to 18 inches of snow fell. No injuries have been reported.

The Aspen Times reports the potential for large, dangerous avalanches will remain for several days to come, with more snow expected across the state on Wednesday.
