Landmark Baptist hosting Kidz Crusade
Landmark Baptist Church’s Kidz Crusade “Win the Race,” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at 2711 Unaweep Ave.
All children ages 3 through sixth grade are invited to attend. The event will feature prizes, games, food, Bible lessons, competitions and pinatas.

Entertainer to be at Unity Church
Chuck Pyle will provide music at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at Unity Church, 3205 N. 12th St.
According to a news release, Pyle mixes infectiously hum-able melodies with straight-from-the-saddle poetry, quoting bumper stickers, proverbs, world leaders and old cowboys.
An accomplished songwriter, Pyle’s songs have been recorded by John Denver, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Suzy Bogguss. He wrote “Cadillac Cowboy,” recorded by the late Chris LeDoux, and “Jaded Lover,” recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker.

Faith Heights to have marriage seminar
Faith Heights Church, 600 28 1/4 Road, will present a marriage seminar Sunday through Wednesday, with guest ministers Ken and Trudi Blount.
“A Time of Refreshing for Marriages and Families” will be at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Book sale to benefit safe ride program
Four Winds Coffee and Tea will have a book sale Monday through July 16 at 1235 Bookcliff Ave.
All proceeds will go to Safe Rides for Students, an organization of Mesa State College student volunteers who provide safe rides home to students who cannot drive because they’ve been drinking.
Each Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. during the semester, the volunteers gather at Four Winds and take calls from students who are unable to drive. The volunteers give an average of 60 rides per night, with numbers increasing during holidays.
