Baptist church changes times of services
Elm Avenue Baptist Church at 1510 N. 17th St. has changed its worship service times. Fellowship begins at 10 a.m. Sundays with services to follow at 10:30 a.m. For information, call 243-8541 or visit http://www.elmavenuebaptist.org.
Ridgway church to have services in park
Ridgway Community Church will celebrate its annual “Sunday in the Park” at 10 a.m. July 3 at Hartwell Park. There will be entertainment by Chris and Jan Harris, award-winning songwriters and vocalists.
Guest speakers will include Pastor Roger Krieghauser, the Rev. Dick Engdahl, and Pastor Dean Freed.
Take folding chairs and blankets to enjoy a free lunch after the program. Call 626-5692 for information.
Appleton Christian to host missionaries
Appleton Christian Church, 2510 I-70 Frontage Road, will host Peter and Karen Maganda from Prime Ministries in Jinja, Uganda, the first week of July.
They will have a special presentation at 7 p.m. July 6 at the church and attend other speaking engagements throughout the community.
Prime Ministries is an organization that helps orphans, widows and those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. The Christian organization provides education, meals, and Christ-centered support to families in crisis.
