Rfle man dies in I-70 crash

A 44-year-old Rifle man died early this morning in a crash near mile-marker 150 on Interstate 70, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The man was driving east in a westbound lane of I-70 near Eagle at approximately 3:15 a.m. today when his Dodge van struck a tractor-trailer. The 50-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to Vail Valley Medical Center with serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to a release from the state patrol.

The names of the two men are not being released pending notification of family members.
