Rimrock check cashing business robbed at gunpoint
The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery today at a check cashing business.
Initial 911 radio traffic indicated that a white male, possibly wearing a gray hoodie with a silver design on it, walked into Check Into Cash, 2546 Rimrock Ave., around 4 p.m., brandished a handgun at employees and fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. The suspect was further described in his 20’s, 6 feet tall, 140 to 160 pounds, and was wearing jeans and blue and white tennis shoes.
The suspect reportedly fled on foot from the business to the north or west.
