Rubalcaba, Dennis make college choices

Sean Rubalcaba and Jerreon Dennis, teammates on this fall’s Grand Junction High football team that reached the Class 5A state quarterfinals, have made verbal commitments to play college football.

Rubalcaba has decided to play quarterback at Northern Colorado, where he plans to redshirt his freshman season. Dennis, who rushed for 2,354 yards this past season, said Tuesday he is staying home to attend Colorado Mesa University to play for new coach Russ Martin.
