A judge is expected to decide next month whether a British man accused of killing his wife in 1997 will be extradited to Colorado, according to a report from a British newspaper.

The Independent newspaper in London reported today that Judge Howard Riddle will announce his decision on April 12 on the question of whether 46-year-old Marcus Bebb-Jones will be forced to return to the United States to face trial. Jones’ full extradition hearing was held today in the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London.

Jones and his wife, Sabrina, were owners of the Hotel Melrose in Grand Junction in 1997, when authorities alleged he killed her, dumped her body in Dinosaur National Monument and charged several thousands of dollars to her credit cards in Las Vegas.

Jones, a prolific professional poker player in his native England, was arrested at his home last fall. He is being held there without bond.
