Season ticket holders can pick their seats for GJ Rockies in February

Grand Junction Rockies fans will soon get a chance to pick their seats for this summer’s inaugural season.

Season ticket holders with priority numbers can claim their seats at the Rockies’ ‘Seat Selection Sunday.’

The event takes place at 1 p.m. on Feb. 26 at Two Rivers Convention Center in Colorado Room No. 1.

Each person with a season-ticket priority number must be present to select their seats. If not, they need someone there to represent them.

The first person on the priority list will get to pick his or her seats off a seating chart posted in the room. The remaining holders will pick in order of the priority list.

Grand Junction Rockies assistant general manager Mike Ruvolo said the Rockies have received 225 requests and sold 632 tickets as of late Thursday afternoon.

Ruvolo said the Rockies hope to have merchandise available for sale on Selection Sunday.

Anyone interested in getting a priority number for season tickets may call the front office at (970) 255-ROCK (7625). Checks and major credit cards will be accepted.

The Grand Junction Rockies open the season June 18 at Ogden, Utah. The Rockies’ home opener is June 23 against Idaho Falls. First pitch is 7:05 p.m. at Suplizio Field.

The Rockies are the Colorado Rockies Rookie club affiliate.
