UPDATE: Highway 50 reopens

Nearly 10 miles of U.S. Highway 50 between Grand Junction and Delta were closed in both directions for nearly two hours tonight because of numerous accidents, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The closure was between milemarkers 48 and 57.

The closure started at 6:23 p.m. and was weather-related. The road re-opened at approximately 8:45 p.m.

Eastbound Interstate 70 remains closed in Glenwood Canyon because of an accident at milemarker 116, CDOT said.
