Several inches of snow expected in Colorado

DENVER — A fast-moving storm is bringing up to four inches of snow to Colorado.

The Colorado Avalanche Information Center said some areas are reporting periods of heavy snow that is expected to lighten on Friday. The largest amount is expected in the northern San Juan Forest, where four inches of snow is expected. Most areas can expect one to three inches.

Forecasters say they expect the snow to taper off Friday night.
