Shelton pitcher shuts down Jefferson
Shelton State (Ala.) Community College pitcher Steven Glasglow pitched seven shutout innings in relief to lead the Buccaneers to a 12-4 victory over Jefferson (Mo.) College in an Alpine Bank Junior College World Series elimination game at Suplizio Field.
Glasglow allowed three hits, two walks and struck out four after starter Austin Kilbourne gave up four runs in the first two innings.
Terrance Dedrick was 2 for 5 with a two-run home run. Chase Fields and Brett Wellman each drove in three runs.
Shelton State is one of four remaining teams in the tournament. Jefferson was eliminated.
