Six-year-old suspended for kissing a girl

CANON CITY — A 6-year-old boy has been suspended from school in Canon City for kissing a girl on the cheek.

School officials are accusing the boy of sexual harassment and they want it on his school record.

The boy’s mother tells KRDO-TV, her son was suspended once before for kissing the girl and had disciplinary problems, but the girl did not object to being kissed.

A School District RE-1 official says the repeat offenses meet the school policy definition of sexual harassment and they hope the tough standards will force the boy to change his behavior.

Oh, good grief!  Suspended?  Obviously, the boy needs to be taught that kissing on school grounds is inappropriate but suspension twice?  I would venture to guess that neither child even knows what sexual harassment even is.

Political correctness gone way to far. The Canon City School District should be ashamed of themselves. Telling the boy not to kiss in school is fine. Suspending the poor kid is absurd and cruel and could have a negative effect on him for the rest of his life.

Thank God for zero brains, er, zero tolerance eh?
