Mavs’ Maihi selected to National Fastball Coaches regional team

Colorado Mesa softball player Courtney Maihi was selected to her second All-Region team Thursday.

The junior designated player made the National Fastball Coaches Association Central Region first team.

Maihi led the Mavericks with a .444 batting average, .534 on-base percentage, 68 RBI, 15 home runs and 63 hits and 46 runs. She had 10 doubles, two triples and was 12 for 12 stealing bases.

She was chosen to the Daktronics All-Central Region first team last week. The team is selected by the sports information directors at the schools in each region.

The NFCA will announce its All-America team May 16.
