State Patrol releases name of man injured in crash near Fruita

A 23-year-old Grand Junction man has been identified as the person injured in Saturday’s early-morning crash near Fruita, the Colorado State Patrol said today.

Christopher A. Squires, 23, was critically injured when he was ejected from the 1997 white Ford Mustang in the single-vehicle crash at the intersection of 17 1/4 Road and K 3/4 Road, the State Patrol said.

He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, but his condition remains unknown, the State Patrol said.

Fruita’s Tyler Dingmann, 18, who also was ejected, was identified Sunday as the man killed in the crash, the Mesa County Coroner released.

The crash remains under investigation, the State Patrol said today.
