Suspects on run after armed robbery at Old Chicago

Grand Junction police are looking for two men who robbed the Old Chicago restaurant, 120 North Ave., this morning and locked an employee in the freezer.

The robbers, both white, wore black masks and one threatened the employee with a handgun about 7:15 a.m.. One is about 6 feet tall with a medium build, wearing a brown, heavy coat and jeans. The other is about 6-1 wearing a dark coat, jeans and gloves.

Investigators and a K-9 and handler are gathering information in the area.

The employee was able to escape the refrigerator and alert police.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 242-6707.
