Tallahassee (Fla.) remains No. 1 in JUCO poll

Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College remains the top-ranked team in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I baseball poll, released today.

The Eagles (45-8) received nine of the 10 first-place votes. They begin play in the Gulf District tournament Friday. The Gulf District champion qualifies for the Alpine Bank Junior College World Series, May 25-June 1 at Suplizio Field.

Cowley County (Kan.) Community College (44-9) received one first-place vote and is ranked second. Delgado (La.) Community College (43-5) is third and defending national champion Iowa Western Community College (39-10) is fourth.
