Ten JUCO World Series players make All-America

Ten junior college baseball players that participated in the Alpine Bank Junior College World Series last week were selected to the National Junior College Athletics Association All-America team, the NJCAA announced.

National champion Central Alabama Community College had two players make the team. Sophomore infielder B.J. Martin made the first team and freshman pitcher John Michael Knighton made the third team.

Navarro (Texas) College pitcher Lukas Schiraldi, Midland (Texas) College outfielder Jeremie Fagnan and Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.) College outfielder Reid Moman made the first team with Martin.

Connors State (Okla.) College freshman shortstop Yariel Gonzales made the second team. Cochise (Ariz.) College pitcher Zach Rodgers made the third team.

Kaskaskia (Ill.) College pitcher Nick Gardewine, Navarro catcher John Clay Reeves and Connors State designated hitter Korey Keith were honorable mention.
