Tornado causes minor damage in La Junta

LA JUNTA — A tornado caused minor damage when it touched down briefly in La Junta (lah-HUN’-tah) on the Colorado eastern plains and another day of severe weather is expected.

Nezette Rydell said Tuesday the tornado knocked down power poles, but no injuries have been reported.

Rydell says the Front Range and the eastern plains can expect another round of severe weather on Tuesday like the storms that pelted Colorado on Monday.
