Two dead after SUV hits women walking with stroller

COLORADO SPRINGS — Two women are dead after an SUV struck them as they crossed a street with a 14-month-old child in a stroller in Colorado Springs.

Police say the child is hospitalized in good condition.

Police spokeswoman Barbara Miller says Rebecca Lynn Robinson and Rose Arcuragi were crossing the five-lane North Carefree Circle with Robinson’s child in the stroller when they were struck around 8 a.m. Monday.

The two women were pronounced dead at a hospital.

The Gazette reports police are investigating whether to pursue charges against the driver.
