Two people shot in Clifton

Two people have been shot in Clifton this evening, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to The Daily Sentinel.

Law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel were called to 3304 Delicious Drive around 5:45 p.m. One adult male and one adult female sustained gunshot wounds and have been taken to the hospital, according to the Sheriff’s Department. Further details about the shooting weren’t immediately available.

33 Road, which was closed in both directions around Delicious Drive for a period of time, is back open again.
