Unemployment at 9.2 percent in GJ
Seasonally adjusted unemployment fell to 9.2 percent in May, a 0.2 percent drop from the previous month, according to data released Friday by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
May was the first month in nearly a year when Grand Junction did not take the top spot for unemployment among Colorado’s seven largest metropolitan areas. Pueblo took top ranking in May with 9.3 percent seasonally adjusted unemployment.
In May, Colorado as a whole had an 8 percent unemployment rate. The rate was unchanged from April.
