Verdict reached in Jensen trial

Attorneys and trial watchers are being called to the Mesa County Justice Center to hear the verdict reached by the jury considering charges against Heather Jensen.

Jensen’s two sons — William, 2, and Tyler, 4 — died as a result of overheating in the family’s Toyota 4Runner in November 2012. The boys were strapped into car seats with the heat running at its highest temperature setting for what could have been as much as 90 minutes, while Jensen had sex with a man in another vehicle nearby.

The verdict is expected to be read at 12:15 p.m.
