Victim of hit-and-run in critical condition

A woman is in critical condition at a Grand Junction hospital after she was the victim of an early morning hit-and-run on Main Street.

The woman, whose name and age were not released, was seriously injured at 2:36 a.m. in the 900 block of Main Street, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

She was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and is in critical condition, the Police Department said.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
