Volunteers needed for trail work event
This weekend, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado is hosting a, well, volunteer outdoor work event.
The trail along the Middle Fork of the Cimarron River above Silverjack Reservoir needs some TLC and the VOC is seeking help for the two-day trail restoration.
Volunteers will help reroute and repair damaged areas of the trail. No experience is necessary, and work will be done in small teams led by skilled leaders.
Camping is available beginning Friday and meals will be provided beginning Saturday.
Work days are 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday.
Fall asleep under the stars and wake up to somebody else cooking breakfast.
What a deal.
