Water service restored to Redlands

Water service has been restored to about 300 homes on the Redlands this morning after Ute Water Conservancy District crews completed the planned replacement of a water line and repairs on an unexpected line break.

Water was out to about 200 homes south of South Camp Road between Monday evening and early this morning while crews replaced a water line that’s tied to construction of a new truck stop near 22 Road and U.S. Highway 6&50. While workers were tending to that line, a 16-inch line broke along Broadway between 23 Road and Pleasant View Drive around midnight, Ute Water spokesman Joe Burtard said.

Water was restored to both areas of the Redlands this morning, and crews are working on pressurizing the distribution system.
