Web vigil for missing Grand Junction woman back online

The Kitchen Guy, who has monitored the disappearance of Paige Birgfeld for nearly four years, resumed his post Thursday.

The Kitchen Guy, who is identified only by that name, said in a post Thursday on Chefsuccess.com that he had suffered the fate of so many who rely on modern technology.

“It figures,” he wrote. “Just as my laptop dies, the cold case heats up.”

The Kitchen Guy’s previous post was on Tuesday, when he wrote: “Due to technical difficulties beyond my control, the Morning Update is going on hiatus. No further information is available at this time.”

The next day, Mesa County Sheriff’s Department deputies searched a field not far from where Birgfeld’s car was found aflame on July 1, 2007, but offered no explanation except to say it was related to “developments” in the search for the missing Grand Junction mother of three.

Chefsuccess.com is a blog by and for Pampered Chef consultants.

The Kitchen Guy has maintained a vigil on the blog for Birgfeld since her disappearance was reported.
