Wildlife commission to set limited big-game license numbers

Final license numbers for all 2010 limited deer, elk, pronghorn, black bear and moose will be set Thursday when the Colorado Wildlife Commission meets in Glenwood Springs.

The meeting will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. at the Ramada Inn and Suites, 124 W. 6th St.

In addition to setting license numbers, the commission will also finalize provisions related to Division of Wildlife properties and consider several changes in the Landowner Pilot Program in Game Management Unit 1.

The Commission will also hear a presentation on Colorado sage-grouse conservation and research by DOW staff.

Interested persons unable to attend the meeting may listen to it live by clicking on the “listen to audio” link on the “Wildlife Commission” Web page at http://wildlife.state.co.us/WildlifeCommission/.
