Winter weather forecast for northern Colorado

DENVER — Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching but the snow is still coming.

The National Weather Service says snow will be heavy at times on Monday from Colorado’s northern mountains to the foothills in Boulder County.

In southeastern Wyoming, with up to 7 inches of snow is possible in Centennial and Albany.

It’s been snowing in Rocky Mountain National Park, where crews are hoping to open Trail Ridge Road by Friday. Clear weather is expected the rest of the week.

Independence Pass to Aspen is also scheduled to be open in time for the holiday weekend.
