Woman found shot to death near downtown Denver

DENVER — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was found shot to death in a car north of downtown Denver.

Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Paul Gregory says a deputy noticed the vehicle parked near West 52nd Avenue and Pecos Street and found the woman inside at about 6:15 a.m. Sunday.

The Denver Post reports (http://bit.ly/ZRLOrn ) the death is being investigated as a homicide.

No other details have been released.
