COLORADO SPRINGS — A woman was seriously injured when she was thrown from a pickup truck in an accident and then hit by a car.

Colorado Springs police say the accident occurred Wednesday when a vehicle hit a pickup truck, throwing the driver of the truck onto the highway.

The driver of a third vehicle saw the accident, but didn’t see the driver in the road until it was too late.

The unidentified woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. No other serious injuries were reported.
