Woman indicted in 2012 killing
BAY SPRINGS, Miss. — A Colorado woman has been indicted in the November 2012 shooting death of a Jasper County man.
Sheriff’s Deputy Thad Windham tells The Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1hCQvSN ) that Nancy Faye Yacobucci, also known as Nancy Faye Reaume, from Fort Collins, Colo., is charged with murder and grand larceny.
Windham said Reaume was charged last year in connection with the death of a local resident in what is believed to have been a domestic incident. He said she had fled the scene when officers arrived and was later arrested in Bonham, Texas and returned to Mississippi.
Windham says the body of 68-year-old Joseph “J. L.” Tatum was found Nov. 11, 2012, in his camper trailer in a rural area of Jasper County southwest of Stringer. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Windham said Tatum reportedly worked with the pipeline and had just returned home from Colorado about 6-8 weeks earlier.
Windham said Reaume fled in Tatum’s 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. She still had the vehicle when arrested in Texas.
Windham said the grand larceny court stems from the theft of the vehicle.
Windham said the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was also recovered in Texas.
Reaume is being held in the Jasper County jail.
