Woman shot, killed in Denver area parking garage

GREENWOOD VILLAGE — Police say a woman in her 20s was shot and killed in an apartment building garage in suburban Denver after an apparent struggle.

The woman was found Thursday morning at the Promenade Place Apartments in Greenwood Village near the Denver Tech Center.

Police spokeswoman Crystal Dean said officers were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead there. Authorities haven’t released her name yet.

KMGH-TV reported that the victim had apparently been throwing stuff out of her car on the third floor of the parking structure before the shooting.

No arrests have been made but police say they have a number of leads.

It’s the first homicide in Greenwood Village this year.
