360 Dance Company offers weekend of performances

Tap, hip-hop, modern, jazz, theatrical dance and more will be in motion during “N: Motion,” presented by The 360 Dance Theatre Company.

Dance concerts will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20–21, at Grand Junction High School auditorium, 1400 N. Fifth St.

The 360 Dance Theatre Company is a collaboration of dancers and choreographers from the community and throughout the state.

“N: Motion” will feature approximately 13 different dances by various local choreographers including Rebecca Manatis, a guest choreographer from Denver. Local choreographers Dana Schmidt-Clingman, Leslie Bruce-Trickel and Rachel Krueger also will be featured.

Around 25 dancers have been rehearsing since mid-December for the performance, the third since the company formed in the summer of 2009. The 360 Dance Theatre Company is an extension project of The Theater Project, the adult theater company.

Tickets for the performance cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students. Tickets are available in advance at http://www.TheaterProjectGJ.com and at the door.
