Absolute Dance to perform recital ‘Outer Space’ at Mesa State

Absolute Dance’s spring dance recital is out of this world.

Performances of the “Outer Space” dance concert will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 28, and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, in Robinson Theatre in the Mesa State College’s Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

“The songs talk about the moon, planets, stars, galaxies and aliens,” said director Theresa Kahl.

Audiences can expect anything from ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip hop, she said.

The dance concert will feature 200 students ages 3 to adult and more than 1,000 “beautiful costumes,” Kahl said.

Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and are available at the door.
