Accordion concerts to be at Lincoln Park Barn

Accordionists Mike and Margie Aman will bring beautiful accordion music from around the world to Grand Junction with two concerts.

The nationally known accordionists from Denver will perform at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Lincoln Park Barn, at 12th Street and Teller Avenue.

The concerts will include music from France, Italy, Poland, Germany and Slovenia presented in brilliant technique and style. Mike Aman’s original composition “Tonight in Vietnam,” a tribute to all veterans, also will be performed.

The Amans will give an accordion workshop at 4 p.m. Saturday that will give participants the opportunity to play an accordion. The workshop costs $5.

Tickets for each concerts are $12 and can be purchased at the Grand Junction Parks and Recreation administration office, 1340 Gunnison Ave. Tickets also will be available at the door.
