Laura Bradley will perform the piece “Sundowning” during “Alone Together: An Evening of Contemporary Dance Solos” set for Friday, May 17.

The perspective of solo dance will be explored during “Alone Together: An Evening of Contemporary Dance Solos” directed and produced by Laura Bradley of the Beyond Boundaries Dance Collective and Push/Don’t Pull Dance Theatre.

“Alone Together” will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Creative Avenues Performance Space, 835 N. 26th St.

The dance concert continues “in the tradition of Push/Don’t Pull, a company which emphasizes small cast dances that depict personal relationships, humanizes dancers and often acknowledges the audience, performing in unique venues, and helping Colorado Mesa University students to transition into the professional world of dance,” according to a news release.

Bradley will perform solos of her own choreography. Other dancers involved in the concert are CMU faculty members Tracey Bonner and Justin Keats.

Bonner is the newest full-time faculty member in CMU’s dance program and has a successful career in dance and theatre, most notably in a professional touring company of “West Side Story,” the news release said.

Keats is a recent graduate of University of California, Irvine, with a degree in dance. Keats spent a year dancing for Norwegian Cruise Lines and was an artist-in-residence at CMU during the past semester.

Additional concert pieces were choreographed by CMU graduating seniors Sarah Sheehan, Katie Schmidt and Rachel Krueger.

Admission is $10 at the door, cash or check only.
